Air Force School initiated the use of Smart Boards in the Classrooms with objective to motivate the learners, by giving them an opportunity to enjoy the interaction technology offers and by making the subject come alive.

It has captured the attention of the students, encouraged their involvement in the subject and enabled the teachers to use the multimedia resources with the entire class.

Smart Classintegrates the traditional and the new technologically advanced methodology of teaching. A smart class comprises of a white board. LCD projector, speakers and a computer. The class room computer is connected to a high configuration server which stores bulk amount of study meterial in the form of animations, graphics, narrations and text. The HORIZONITES experience a new motivating way of learning with the aid of advanced technology which is helping them in improving their skills more efficiently and with less efforts. Initially 25 class rooms have been enquipped with the technology for conducting these classes. Gradually every class room will be a Smart Class. To accomplish this task the School has set up an advanced smart class Lab and a very high Speed LAN which is connected these classes. Students of VI to XII are having their Smart Classes on a regular basis. Primary Classes are also brought to the auditorium and activity room on regular basis to give them a exposure to Smart Classes before equipping the Primary section completely with the Smart Class technology.

Continuing in the attempt to keep abreast of the latest technologies and move with the modern and latest learning solutions, Arwachin International School collaborated with Promethean Software Company to install an Interactive Board that is essentially an organizer of educational content as well as provider of educational modules. It has six lakh modules on various subjects to facilitate learning by doing. This system also works like the Interactive Board provided by Educomp. In its library it contains an array of different academic modules to help teachers plan their lessons. This planning is aimed at making their teaching more effective, invigorating and interesting. As with theEducomp board, teaching and learning situations are simulated without wastage of time , space and material for smooth learning and teaching experiences.

The programme seeks to make learning a real living experience. It enables teachers to create lesson plans that are in keeping with international standards. As member the school can access its modules on its website.
